Fitness Coordinator Training

Federal law enforcement personnel are required to meet and maintain specific physical fitness standards. Agencies often have on-site Wellness/Fitness Programs to help officers comply with these requirements. Agencies generally delegate the management of these programs to Law Enforcement Fitness Coordinators, individuals who may have little or no training in the management of such programs. FOH’s Law Enforcement Medical Program provides a specialized Fitness Coordinator Training for law enforcement agencies that are interested in managing their own fitness programs.

FOH’s Fitness Coordinator Training teaches agency personnel to perform health assessments and to administer a variety of physical fitness tests so that agency personnel may instruct, demonstrate and evaluate an officer’s aerobic and strength conditioning. FOH’s Fitness Coordinator Training provides the following instruction:

  • Basic anatomy and physiology
  • Cardiovascular fitness assessments
  • Risk stratification
  • Flexibility testing
  • Muscular strength and endurance
  • Exercise leadership
  • Injury prevention
  • Principles of designing exercise programs
  • Program management
Contact FOH today to learn how FOH’s Fitness Coordinator Training can help your agency with the special needs of law enforcement personnel.

Improving the health, safety, and productivity of our Federal employees.
